Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Street, Carbrooke - Breckland
Late C13 and C15, on site of Knights Hospitallers settlement. Flint with ashlar quoins. Early C15 four-stage tower with diagonal buttresses. C13 chancel, C15 hammerbeam roof to nave. Cracking at high level on tower and flint losses from parapet. Belfry and silence chamber floors may require extensive repair or replacement. Dampness internally, especially on south wall, due to failing rainwater gutters and rainwater disposal arrangements. The congregation are exploring funding options.
