Long Street Methodist Church, Long Street - Rochdale

Designed by Edgar Wood, dated 1899 and designed as a part of a courtyard complex with Chapel and Sunday School. There are considerable number of end of life defects and failures associated with the building fabric. The church is owned by a charity and leased back to the Methodist Church for use as a place of worship. A Minor Repair Grant from the Taylor Review Pilot was received in 2019 and this has addressed water ingress issues and stabilised some high level brickwork. A Heritage Stimulus Fund grant was received in 2021 to repair the feature chimney stack.
