Church of St Mary, Buckland - Vale of White Horse

Cruciform plan with west tower. Early C12 nave, Early English (c1240) transepts, tower and chancel; church rebuilt with late C18 windows. Coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar walling; limestone stone slate roofs, except to nave and chancel; limestone ashlar flue. The stone slate roofs to the north and south transept have been repaired and the lead covering to the nave replaced. Work to recover chancel, tower, vestry and carry out stone repairs to the tower are due to take place spring - autumn 2023.
