St Peter-on-the-Wall, Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex

The church of St Peter-on-the-Wall stands over the western gateway of the Roman fort of OTHONA. It may be the church built by St Cedd in circa 654 AD. All that remains of the building is a rectangular nave, the porch and apsidal chancel surviving as foundations.
