361 sheets relating to the care, management and interpretation of Prudhoe Castle mostly between 1966 and 2004, but with three site plans dating from between 1919 and the 1930s.
The bulk of coverage includes plans, sections, elevations, details, copies of Ordnance Survey sheets, project documentation and correspondence, along with topographic, mechanical, electrical, rectified photographic and photogrammetric surveys of the site. These surveys cover the castle, house and associated buildings including the medieval bridge, the gatehouse gates and the mill steps.
Some drawings relate to proposed new work on the site, and show designs for a kitchen; custodian accommodation; storm drainage; a sales counter and ticket kiosk; toilets; a footbridge; heating services; car parking and floodlighting. Others show proposed repair and reconstruction work for the house, castle and grounds, including the reconstruction of the mill pond; repairs to the roof and entrance gates. There are copies of design drawings for interpretive display panels.
A group of drawings from the mid-1980s show development phases of the site derived from archaeological work.
