Description

The first of two albums. The album has 65 pages containing 118 photographs of buildings and scenes in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, the photographs dating from c.1890 to 1910. There are 46 photographs of Berkshire, 15 of Buckinghamshire and 57 of Oxfordshire. The name of the town or village where the photograph was taken is written beside each photograph, but this information is not always accurate.

Pages 2 and 3 of the album comprise a numerical list of negatives, numbered 1 to 120 and divided into groups of 10. Written against each number is the name of the town or village in which the photograph was taken.

Two of the negatives numbers are blank, numbers 60 and 61 on the original list, therefore there are no photographs for these numbers, and page 35 of the album is blank. Photographic prints for the last two numbers, 119 and 120, are on page 1 of the album.
