Description

Staff from the York office of The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, took photographs of buildings in the East Riding of Yorkshire, between September 1998 - February 1999. These photographs were subsequently used by the Victoria County History for their publication, 'A history of the county of York, East Riding, volume 7. Holderness Wapentake, Middle and North Divisions' (2002).

This series also contains photographs taken by English Heritage staff from the York office for volume 8, Driffield, due to be published in 2007.
