Description

The drawings probably relate to the spiral staircase at the south-west corner of the keep at Norham Castle. The sheet shows Scheme A and Scheme B, both showing sections of a typical tread and methods of fixing it to the newel post and wall. Created by English Heritage on behalf of the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England.
