LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/85 UNIDENTIFIED monument in the churchyard c3m east of east wall of the chancel of the church of St Mary GV II Chest tomb. Probably C17. Sandstone. A large chest with flat top to moulded edge and deep pulvinated frieze, high relief carved ends including anthemion, north and south sides have two elliptical raised moulding panels. Inscriptions are not legible, but is is probably of the late C17. One of a group of five tombs lying immediately east of the chancel wall.
