LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/69 Monument to THOMAS POWELL in the churchyard clm south east corner of the vestry of the church of St Mary - II Chest tomb. Late C18. Sandstone, A very lofty tomb on a high plinth; rich moulded top with moulded edge, broad quarter balusters and sunk moulded panels on moulded base. The plinth on a platform which was formerly railed. Earliest legible inscription to Thomas Powell, 1837, but the tomb probably of the late C18.
