House. Mid C18. Probably by Matthew Ward (Swinton estate records). Stone, rendered, with ashlar dressings; graduated stone slate roof. 2 bays, 3 storeys. Plinth. 6-panel door under fanlight with radiating glazing bars has stone surround with imposts, 2 raised voussoirs and double keystone. To right of door a sash with glazing bars ; to left a 16-pane sash; to far left a basket-arched carriageway. Impost band. First floor: 3 sashes with glazing bars. Second floor: band; two 4-pane sashes. All windows have plain stone surrounds with raised sills apart from that above carriageway. End stack to left.
