SPALDING TF 22 SW HORSESHOE BRIDGE 4/232 II

Road bridge over South Drove Drain. 1910-12. Designed by L.G.

Mouchel and Partners (Civil Engineers) for the Deeping Fen Trustees.

Using Ferro-Concrete construction (Hennebique System). Reinforced concrete. A simple span bridge supported on straight sided abutments.

45 foot span. Concrete parapets with 10 panel central section flanked by coped piers with single shallow panels, then further panels on either side finished with smaller coped piers also with shallow panels. Designed to carry a test load of 2101bs per Sq Ft.
