II

Villa, now 3 dwellings. c1824 (perhaps enlarging and remodelling Willow Cottage which was occupied in 1798); extended by addition of No.2A to the right in 1924, altered in C20. White painted stucco with stone quoins painted black, hipped slate roofs. Irregular plan formed by double-depth double-fronted main range with set-back wing to left, C20 addition to right. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2:3:2 windows. The 3-window main range has an open-pedimented centre breaking forwards, a large full-width canted bay window at ground floor with 2:3:2 Tudor-arched lights, and a 3-light window in similar style above, with a hoodmould. The outer bays have matching 3-light windows at first floor and altered windows below these (that to the left with altered glazing and that to the right now a French window). The set-back wing to the left has a glazed porch in the angle, a small 2-light window above this, a large 4-light window to the left and a 3-light window above that (all these in matching style). The 1924 addition to the right is in matching style except for a recessed porch with a pair of set-in Tuscan columns. INTERIOR: not inspected.
