ST 93 SE TEFFONT THE STREET (west side)

1/161 Barn at Fitz House (Formerly listed as Barn adjoining and 6.1.66 north of Fitz House).

GV II

Barn. C15. Rubble stone, thatched roof. Six bays, gable-end to road. Opposing entrances in third bay from road have double planked doors. One loophole to left and right on north side, south side has two loopholes to either side of door with brick segmental arch. Gable-end to road has chamfered loophole.

Six-bay interior has six pairs of raised crucks with collars and two tiers of through purlins with curved windbracing to both. West bay divided by brick partition wall and floor inserted, probably C19; ground floor of this bay used as milking parlour until mid- C20.
