Farmhouse and adjoining outbuilding and hop kiln, now part of farmhouse.

C17 with mid-C18, mid-C19 and late C20 alterations. part timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill on rubble base, part brick with plain tiled roofs, some gable-end parapets with kneelers and brick stacks. Hall and cross- wing plan; hall part of three framed bays aligned north-west/south-east, with central chimney forming lobby entrance. Cross-wing of probably five bays situated at south-east end having large external brick chimney with offsets and lean-to bread oven on south-east side. Two storeys. Framing: four panels from sill to wall-plate with short straight upper corner braces. (Cross-wing panels are of smaller and more rectangular proportions). Collar and tie-beam trusses with three struts below collar and V-struts above. North-east front elevation: hall part has three ground floor and two first floor 2-light case- ments. The central entrance has a ledged and battened door leading into a large lobby. Cross-wing gable end has a large ground floor multi-paned window and a first floor 2-light casement. There are two ground floor 2-light case- ments and two first floor single-light casements in the angle. The former out- building and hop kiln adjoin the south-east side of the cross-wing. Outbuilding is of probably two bays and two storeys and has a ground floor single-light casement with a cambered head, a first floor 2-light casement and a C20 stable door in its north-east elevation. The hop kiln adjoining its south-east end is of circular plan with a conical roof and cowl. It has three ground floor 2- light casements with cambered heads and three skylights. There are two buildings in Tenbury CP adjacent to each other called Lower Kyrewood, item 3/99 is at Map Reference SO 604676.
