Round tower, built into side of river valley. Probably mid C17 dovecote, altered mid C18 to summer house, with C19 alterations, now partially ruined. Squared coursed rubble, millstone grit dressings. Circa 7 metres in diameter, 3 storeys.

C17 west entrance at first floor level has basket arch lintel and chamfered surround; plank door with C19 strap hinges. Gargoyle above in form of dog's head. 2 chamfered stair lights: segmental arch and flat arch, both now blocked. 3 rows of pigeon holes. Blocked C17 entrance on first floor to east. Narrow chamfered window, and segmental arched chamfered window to second floor. South side (facing river): mid C18 ground floor entrance, eared architrave and pulvinated frieze, plank door.

Right-hand chamfered round-headed window with incised spandrels. Large first floor window with chamfered surround and keyed round head, probably mid C19.
