Circa 1846, part of a modest terrace development contemporary with Elizabeth Street and in sequence with it. Two-storey, sandstone "brick" houses. Long and short quoins to Nos 41 and 47, the latter a taller house with 4 bay front; the rest are of 2 bays. Shaped brackets to flat eaves of slate roofs; corniced chimneys. Revealed, ashlar lintel, sash windows. Doorways have archivolt arched fanlights with keys, contained by consoles with broken entablatures and bracketed cornices over. Plain doorway to No 47 front but with main entrance to return elevation. Included for group value.
