1291A GRASMERE Allen Bank NY 3() NW 7/66 NY 3307 18/66 II 2.

Built 1805, the Wordsworths rented it and lived here 1808-11, and were visited by de Quincey, S T Coleridge and Sara Hutchinson. The house was altered by the next owner circa 1834. Scored stucco, slate roof, 2 storeys of low proportions. Entrance front has gabled porch, a centre gabled portion with 2 sash windows on each floor with moulded labels, and side wings each having 2 sashes on each floor (except the left hand one which has a porch).

Windows renewed with fewer glazing bars.
