DARRINGTON ESTCOURT ROAD SE42SE (south side) 5/18 House opposite junction 20.5.1987 with Church Lane - II House. Probably late C18. Coursed dressed sandstone, C20 tile roof, brick chimneys. L-shaped plan formed by single-depth 4-unit front range with rear wing at left end. Two storeys and 5 bays; plain doorway to 4th bay, with overlight, and 12-pane sash at 1st floor above; otherwise, four 16-pane sashes on each floor; flat-arched heads with gauged voussoirs to all openings, and raised stone sills to all windows. Stone gable copings, gable chimneys and a central ridge chimney. Right-hand gable wall has a small chamfered opening (blocked). Rear and rear wing - altered and of less interest. Derelict at time of survey (1987) (some windows boarded and all exposed panes broken).

Interior: not inspected, but ground floor windows have internal shutters.
