Barn and cowhouse. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame, weather- boarded, on sandstone ashlar and brick plinth, corrugated iron roof. L-plan, single framed bay to east-west limb (barn); 2 framed bays to attached north- south limb with lower roof (cowhouse). Barn: framing is 2 square panels high to wall-plate, trusses originally had 4 queen struts to collar, V struts in apex (collars and some queen struts renewed); slightly curved tension braces in north wall, truss above for other limb on barn wall-plate, retains some lath and plaster infill. Cowhouse: north bay originally floored, now removed; walls: single rectangular panels below wall-plate. Intermediate truss has 2 raking struts, gable end: 2 queen struts with V struts in apex.
