TL 81 NE GREAT BRAXTED BRAXTED PARK ROAD BRAXTED PARK

2/52 Ha-Ha wall to east of walled garden q.v. 2/51 and enclosing stables and Braxted Park House GV II

Ha-Ha wall. C18 or earlier. Red brick with semi-circular brick coping. The visible wall varies in height from approx. 3-5 metres east and north to 1 metre at its western extremity. The eastern section runs parallel with the east wall of the walled garden q.v. 2/51 and the space between forms a raised walk with terminal urns q.v. 2/53. This section has a later stepped parapet of matching material. To the north east angle a spur section encloses a ramp entrance from the east. C20 wrought iron railings and gates cap the western section.
