Description

The roof was grazed by sheep and a recent survey of this building has found the lift that was used to get the sheep onto the roof. The owner, John Marshall, was a rare breeds farmer in Headingley, Leeds where he was short of space. Local newspaper entries report the sheep falling into the looms below, until eventually the sheep were removed permanently.
