Description

At the top of the frame the words PUBLICITY WORKS are partly visible. These were painted onto the building in the early years of the 20th century when it began production of the paper wrappers used to package Hovis loaves. Prior to this, flour milling had taken place here. When demand outgrew the site this function was moved to larger premises at Trafford Park, Manchester.
