Old Cooperage, Royal William Yard, Plymouth - Plymouth, City of (UA)

The Cooperage was built c1826-1832 for the Victualling Board, and forms part of the Royal William Yard. Part of the Cooperage has been successfully converted into artists' studios; Historic England grant-aided the stone conservation works. A sustainable future for the rest of the Cooperage is being explored by the leaseholder and Historic England have grant-aided urgent repairs to the rest of undeveloped sections of the building. Historic England is in a continuing dialogue with the leaseholder.
