Temple in the grounds of Mount Clare, Minstead Gardens SW15 - Wandsworth

The 'temple' dates from between 1762 and 1769. Some damage was caused as a result of heritage crime in 2017. The site has been re-secured by perimeter fencing which has temporary Planning Permission (renewed in 2021) and is regularly monitored by Roehampton University. Some tree damage to the fence and roof occurred in 2022 and a schedule of conservation repair works is being prepared. Discussions between the Local Authority and the university are ongoing concerning the future of this building in the wider context of the Mount Clare site. Funding for proposed repair works is being sought.
