Temple Works gate lodge, Marshall Street - Leeds

Small derelict gate lodge to the flax mill of 1836 to 1840. Designed with advice from Joseph Bonomi, in the Egyptian style. The walls are largely stable, but it lacks a roof and the cornice has been damaged by rusting cramps. The lodge has been cleared of fallen material and the cornice stones have been supported as part of a scheme of repair. It is intended that the British Library will occupy the site.
