Sheriff Hutton Castle, Main Street, Sheriff Hutton - North Yorkshire Council (UA)

Ruinous castle begun in 1382 by John, Lord Neville, with C15 gatehouse inserted. Vulnerable to weathering. The north east tower has been repaired with the support of Historic England, which has also funded emergency works to south west tower. The castle is in a relatively stable condition and the site is currently used for weddings and other functions.
