The Wheldon School Michael Hutchinson Residential Centre (former Church of St Agnes), Hollinsclough, Staffordshire Moorlands - Staffordshire Moorlands
This C18 barn, converted to a combined church, school and schoolhouse in C19, was closed circa 1960 and made into a residential field study centre in 1974 for which it continued to be used until relatively recently. Internal flooding in 2018 has made the building uninhabitable. Crown reduction to a large tree close to the school was undertaken in 2019 and assorted works to ensure that the building remained weatherproof and structurally stable were carried out in spring 2021. The building was sold by auction in March 2023 and the new owner is looking to convert it for use as a family dwelling.
