Halton House, Aston Clinton / Halton - Buckinghamshire (UA)

Another of the original seven Rothschild country houses in the Aylesbury Vale with late C19 formal gardens and park with woodland rides. Sold to the Royal Air Force in 1918 the estate is allocated for residential development in the Local Plan. Bisected by the Grand Union Canal much of the open parkland was fragmented and lost to development of the camp with the historic fabric of park and garden features in poor condition. The overlooking designed woodland survives managed by Forestry England. Discussions regarding masterplan development have been set out by Aylesbury Vale District Council.
