Crystal Palace Park SE19 - Bromley
Mid-C19 pleasure grounds designed by Sir Joseph Paxton as a setting for the Crystal Palace, burnt down in 1936. The park is in variable condition with related listed structures also at risk. An approved regeneration plan is being implemented alongside a new sustainable governance and management model. A Stage 1 grant has been secured from the National Lottery Heritage Fund by the Local Authority to develop projects to repair and conserve the prehistoric animal sculptures and geological illustrations and make improvements to park infrastructure.
