Upton Hall, Main Road, Upton - Newark and Sherwood
Country house, 1832, by WJ Donthorn. Now used by the British Horological Institute as offices, education and a clock museum. Roof coverings, copings and rainwater goodsis in poor condition, with corresponding internal dampness and signs of active dry rot. The adjacent stables and courtyard structures contribute to the setting of the hall, they are in very poor condition and at significant risk of loss. Previous proposals for works to the hall and repair of the stables for educational use have fallen through. Further advice on repair need and grant funding is being sought.
