Union Chapel, Compton Terrace N1 - Islington

A Congregational chapel, schools and offices by James Cubit, built in 1886-87 with the tower finished in 1889. Three phases of repairs to the tower and high-level roofs were funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England in the 2000s. In 2015 the church carried out repairs to the lower level roofs, funded by the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. In 2020 Historic England awarded a Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund grant for various repairs to address water penetration into the buildings.
